The baby fur seals are back and living on the safe rocks whilst their mums go fishing. The water in the cove is too shallow to let sharks, orca, or dolphins get close. Even leopard seals have a problem hunting the babies here. There's a safe enclosed pool behind their rocks where they can cool off. It's been a sizzling summer so I've been in the sea too or under a shady tree with a book. Thank goodness there are some good books available.Check them out. AGAIN BEWARE, WATCH the deadlines! SHORT STORIES March 2nd Deadline ALSO I've found another source of free and bargain ebooks at BookRaid Discounted & Free Bestselling Ebooks AND G.J. Berger, best selling and prize winning historical fiction author, and my colleague in Writer's Choice (that's our writers' historical fiction publishing co-operative) is skiting away about the success of his mother's memoir, 'To Steal a Moment's Time'. It's been hitting the best seller lists. His mother was Katharina Berger, a most sought-after stage and film actress in Germany at the outbreak of WWII. I can genuinely recommend it as a fascinating read. AND Another book I've just enjoyed is an Australian historical novel set during the 1930s and 1940s. Called 'Limberlost' by Robbie Arnott it's a gentle, thoughtful read. Alas it is expensive but cheapest at Kobo.com
