NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER Please to Remember the Fifth of November Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot I love fireworks. In Japan we saw them at most festivals, great glorious explosions of colour which filled the wide sky. The special firework festivals usually included those dangerous looking, hand held fireworks, the hanabi. It was a point of honour not to flinch as you held your firework leaning against your hip. There's a fuss on in New Zealand about banning private fireworks because some idiots always set fire to themselves or the countryside. I never heard of that happening in Japan. I will miss my sparklers and rockets if the ban goes through next year. It's Family Stories Month so I've managed to find two promotions just for families and a couple of the other promos have suitable family stuff. Enjoy a book or two together. I've included an international giveaway this month. It's for fantasy audio books. Please let me know if you don't want giveaways in future. I know some people have strong opinions about them. The SF and Fantasy authors have been banding together to form group promotions recently and I have been asked to support them. There seem to be quite a few every month now. Please could you let me know if you'd prefer fewer? Perhaps you would prefer that I just include the free SF & Fantasy book promotions? Please do watch DEADLINES.
